I’m super pumped to announce that the Kurt Baker Music band will be opening up for Tommy Stinson at TT the Bears. Tommy Stinson is a founding member of The Replacements and also since 1998 has been the bass guitarist for Guns N’ Roses. Pretty Rad!!!! The show is April 11 at TT the Bears! I’m super happy to announce that my old band, Highway Jackson, has had our song “So Fine” placed in a new movie starring Kevin Hart called Exit Strategy! Exit Strategy – The Movie | An Un-Romantic Comedy

James (JAMEEL SALEEM) gets evicted from his apartment and moves in with his girlfriend of three months Kim (KIMELIA WEATHERS) and quickly discovers she’s everything he never wanted in a woman. Hey everyone!

Just wanted to say “hey!” and also let you know what I’ve been up to since being back from Europe. In between catching up on sleep, drinking buckets of coffee and running around with the coon cats I’ve had stuff to do! The Kurt Baker Band had a great record release party at Geno’s in Portland, ME back on November 26th. The Pontiff’s played a reunion show and that was really something else. Rock n roll to the core! The night after that I went down to Kennebunk to play at The Hive. It’s a cool little art gallery. Got to play some Beatles covers with Sam Anderson(who also played a great set of his own) and had my friend Lindsey Markellos Clancy do a few songs too. Overall it was a great evening!
I’m really excited to announce I’ll be doing a show with The Dirty Gems at The Red Door in Portsmouth, NH on Jan. 17th as part of my good friend, Geoff’s, Birthday Sock Hop. It’s going to be a wild party with the Kurt Baker Band, The Connection, and KR and The Dirty Gems. It’s a Tuesday night(Birthday regulations) so make sure to request some time off the next day! The poster is cool too!

Also if you haven’t heard about the Kurt Baker Band playing New Year’s Eve at Empire Dine and Dance with The Mallet Bros…now you know! Please consider us when contemplating the 100′s of New Year’s activities that evening!
