Last week was epic for the sporting side of life. @mickeyreilly and @owright10 stopped by @dirigounion chant band practice and had a pint with us all. Great guys. Then some of us followed them down to Hartford for a preseason banger against USL Championship side Hartford Athletic on Saturday. @hearts_sc had a commanding 4-0 victory. 💥

RIP Roberta Flack. I don’t usually do these types of things but I think Roberta Flack is one of the greatest under appreciated artists out there. Her first album came out when she was 30 years old and that used to give me hope that I wasn’t too old yet to do…well…anything, really. I’m 39 now LOL but it still inspires me.
I’m by no means a religious man, but I am a spiritual man and Roberta Flack is a church I frequently visit. I rarely talk about her unless someone brings her up, but she has had such a huge impact on me as a musician, performer, and human being. She sang, played, and performed for humanity. I hope she sails smoothly to wherever she’s off to next. Make it Real. ❤️
