Thrilled to release “Bounce Back Baby” and “Soul Shake” with Michael Des Barres! It’s been a blast working with Michael on these songs. We began writing songs together back in 2021 and slowly but steadily get them out into the world. Stay tuned for more but check out what we’ve been up to so far on Music!

2021

“Still Dirty” is out now on Wicked Cool Records! Hear what people are saying so far…

“Kris Rodgers & The Dirty Gems has created a terrific and consistent LP. Still Dirty has showcased the uniquely dramatic and romantic lead vocals which rock the upbeat numbers and touch your heart when performing a ballad. This is music the world can use.” – Kenny Laguna, Producer (Joan Jett)

“From the opening romp of “She Likes to Party” to the ballad “Across the Galaxy” and the absolutely righteous take on Elton John’s “Take Me to the Pilot,” there’s not a dud to be found on “Still Dirty.” – Portland Press Herald

“Listening to the Portland-based outfit’s new LP, “Still Dirty,” is the sonic equivalent of opening your windows for the first time after a long cold winter.” – The Maine Edge

“…if you love early Rock, Blues, and the music of the 60s and 70s like me, this album will be a welcome antidote to our difficult times.” – Glide Magazine

“All things considered, they make Still Dirty one more of this year’s top new independent albums.” – Phil’s Picks

RIP Dolly ❤️. When I was younger we went on a family vacation and went to Dollywood. As a 10 yr old boy I felt like it was more of a shopping mall than a theme park BUT there was enough cool music stuff to keep me occupied. I learned at an early age that Dolly Parton was gentle and kind, but also a force to be reckoned with. I remember seeing sheet music for Whitney Houston’s version of “I Will Always Love You”, and being amazing Dolly wrote it. And learning later that she wrote Jolene in the same session. Kind of mind blowing when you think about it.

I’m proud to have played on this Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner collection of songs recorded by Victoria Liedke and Jason Ringenberg a few years ago. #dollyparton #dollywood #ripdollyparton

Back when phones weren’t that great Scott Sorry and I played Every Little Crack live on WCYY with Mark Curdo @ Work. We also played one or two of Scott’s songs. Can’t remember now unfortunately. If not for this video I wouldn’t have remembered we did Every Little Crack either so, haha. Glad I have it. Sure do miss that dude. ... See MoreSee Less
